WSJ.com - Work & Family: "When she arrived home one recent day from her job as a bank vice president, she found a dishwasher full of clean dishes needing to be put away and used cups by the sink. 'How come you didn't empty the dishwasher?' she asked Mr. Rogers, who arrives home earlier from his job as an insurance agent."

my girlfriend expects me to slave away at work then come home and do the dishes!!!

I'm convinced that technology can solve this problem. one day we'll all have robots doing our dishes for us, and putting them away.
Putting away dishes just seems silly to me, it seems we need a clean dishes dishwasher container, which we can easily swap into the dirty one. why do we need cabinets? I wonder the same thing about my dirty laundry.

I think the ultimate bachelor pad will have two sets of washers and dryers. lights in one washer and darks in the other... and leave your clothes in the dryer until you need them. this eliminates the need for a hamper and a dresser! ahhh if only i could win the lottery...
